School, family and students

Winter school holidays end on 2 March for Area C and Corsica, and on 9 March for Area A. Scholarships and student accommodation: the application service opens on 13 March. March 13 is also the last day to express our wishes on Parcoursup! Until March 24, the submission of applications for the first year of Master is possible on the My Master platform. Finally, junior high school students can find internship offers on the 1pupil1stage platform. Changes are taking place as of March in the way the Culture Pass is awarded and in the college patent.

Leisure

A decree of 27 February 2025 amends the conditions for awarding the Culture Pass for young people between the ages of 15 and 18. The new measures are part of the 2025 budget and have taken effect from 1 Januaryer March 2025.

Silver

In March, the rates of statutory social security contributions allocated to Agirc-Arco pensions may change depending on your situation and have an impact on the net amount of your pension.

Social - Health

The Dematerialized Vital Card can be settled on a smartphone by insured persons with a digital identity card. Changes are being put in place for shared medical transportation. A new Nutri-Score on packaging. Several changes were made in March and April to cover sick leave in the public and private sectors. Animals are now allowed within Ehpads and Autonomous Residences. New rules for sick leave prescribed during teleconsultations. New edition of Mars Bleu, the campaign dedicated to colorectal cancer prevention. Simplification of administrative procedures for beneficiaries of active solidarity income (SSA) and activity bonus with the pre-filling of quarterly declarations of resources. Pharmacy-based COVID-19 tests are no longer reimbursed. A law passed on February 24, 2025, now prohibits the sale or offering free of charge of single-use electronic vaping devices, commonly known as “puffs.”

Transport

A lane reserved for vehicles with at least 2 people on board, public transport and taxis will be set up on the Paris ring road. The 1er carte grise March: the solidarity tax on airline tickets is raised, possibly raising the price of some flights; and the regional tax on flights increases in Hauts-de-France. The car malus scale, a tax payable when registering particularly polluting vehicles, is also raised from 1er March.

Foreign-Europe

You can apply for an electronic travel authorization for the United Kingdom. The service has just opened, while authorization will be required to travel there as of April 2, 2025.

Accommodation

As every year, the winter truce ends on March 31.

Citizenship

The 2025 population census ends in Reunion and Mayotte on 1er March for municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants, and March 8 for municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants.
