RSA and Activity Premium applications: Simplified procedure as of 1 March 2025

Experimentation in several pilot departments

Since October 2024, an experiment has been conducted in 5 pilot departments: the Alpes-Maritimes, Aube, Hérault, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Vendée. This initial phase allowed for the testing and adjustment of the device, which will be generalized:

• as of March 1, 2025: for recipients of Cifs;
• and in the coming months: for MSA recipients.

What changes in my quarterly resource report?

Recipients will find a pre-filled statement of resources on the website of the Caisse d'Allowances Familiales (Caf). They will simply have to check the pre-filled information and, in case of error, can correct the amounts by producing a supporting document.

The calculation of the entitlement to the RSA and the activity bonus will be based on what resources?

With pre-filling, the calculation of the rights to the RSA and the activity premium will be based on the resources of months M-2 to M-4, and no longer on those of months M-1 to M-3. For example, for the March 2025 return, recipients will need to report resources paid for the months of November 2024, December 2024 and January 2025.

Why are quarterly RSA resource and activity bonus reports now pre-filled?

The main objective of this reform is to limit errors and inconsistencies that lead to subsequent checks and claims. By simplifying administrative procedures, it aims to improve the stability of recipients’ incomes and to reduce the phenomenon of undue payments (overpayments) and reminders (payments due to the recipient).
