To qualify for the activity bonus, you must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a professional activity (salaried or not) and receive modest income
- Credit memo right to stay in France and have lived there ever since at least 3 months at the time of application.

If you are a worker temporarily posted to France, you are not entitled to the activity bonus.
You are a foreigner of another country
To qualify for the activity bonus, you must meet the following conditions:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a professional activity (salaried or not) and receive modest income.
In addition, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- For at least 5 years have a residence permit to work in France
- Being a single parent with a dependent child under 3 years of age and a residence permit
- Have the resident card
- Have the refugee status
- Be recognized stateless
- Be a beneficiary of the subsidiary protection.

The lump sum (basic amount for calculating the activity premium) is equal to €633.21.

The amount of the activity premium shall be calculated taking into account:
- on the one hand, a lump sum that varies according to the composition of the household and the number of dependent children to which must be added 59.85% the amount of the household's professional income. This amount may be increased taking into account the professional income of each worker. This increase is called enhancement.
- on the other hand, the resources taken into account of the household.
The calculation formula is as follows:
Amount of the activity premium = (lump sum, if any, increased + 59.85% professional income + individual bonuses) - the resources taken into account by the household.
Can the amount of the activity bonus be increased?
The amount of the premium may be increased if you are in isolation and depending on the composition of your household.
This increase is called mark-up.
Increase according to the composition of the household
The rate of this increase shall be:
- 50% for the 1re additional person
- 30% per additional person
- 40% per additional person beyond 3e person if your household has more than 2 children or dependents under 25 years of age.
Isolation surcharge
If you are a single parent, i.e. single, divorced, separated or widowed with dependent or pregnant children, the lump sum is increased.
This increased lump sum shall be granted from the month in which one of the following events occurs:
- Declaration of pregnancy
- Declaration of birth of a child
- Declaration of care of a child
- Declaration of separation
- Declaration of widowhood.
The increased lump sum can be awarded for 12 months, continuous or discontinuous, during a period of 18 months following the event.
This amount varies depending on the number of dependent children.
If your youngest dependent child is under 3 years of age, the increased lump sum is granted to you until he or she is 3 years old.
The increased lump sum shall be equal to 128.412% the basic lump sum.
Adds to it 42.804% the basic lump sum for each child.

What is the individual bonus?
Each member of the household with a professional activity can obtain a bonus that varies according to his monthly professional income (average over the last 3 months).
This bonus is due if the average monthly salary is higher than €709.18.
The amount of the subsidy is increasing according to income.
It ranges between a few euros (€26.29 for a monthly income of €700, for example) and €184.27 if the average salary is higher than €1,442.40.
Beyond that, the amount of the subsidy remains constant.
You must apply for an activity bonus on the internet:
After examination of your file and favorable opinion by the Caf services, you receive a notification allocation for a period of 3 months.
The reference period is the quarter preceding the quarter in which you receive the activity premium.
The amount paid to you is fixed for 3 months. It does not take into account changes in the resources of your household.
To challenge a decision on the activity bonus, you must appeal to your Caf's amicable appeals committee.
This appeal must be made within a period of 2 months from the receipt of the decision you wish to challenge.
In case of an unfavorable response, you can then present a litigation before the administrative court.
The activity bonus is paid to you from 1er the day of the month in which you filed your application.
The premium is paid monthly (e.g. the March activity premium is paid in April) by the Caf: titleContent.
The activity premium is not taxable.
The amount below which the activity premium is not paid shall be fixed at €15.
Since the 1er March 2025, your quarterly online resource reporting is evolving.
Now, your wages, replacement income or other benefits (unemployment, pensions, pensions, sick leave, etc.) are pre-filled in net social amount for your entire hearth.
You must consult your pre-filled resources, validate them and, if necessary, complete your return with your other resources collected over the period (for example, child support).
With pre-filling, the calculation of activity premium entitlements is based on M-2 to M-4 month resources, and no longer on those of months M-1 to M-3. For example, for the March 2025 declaration, the pre-filled resources are those for November 2024, December 2024 and January 2025.

Warning
In the event of a change of residence, family or professional situation, you must inform your Caf: titleContent. If you no longer qualify for the activity bonus, the payment ceases from 1er the day of the month you no longer fill them out.
You must inform your Caf in the following situations:
- Moving
- Change in your family situation
- Changing your business and resources
- Modification of your assets.
Any change of situation involving a revision of the amount of the activity premium shall take effect from 1er the day of the month in which he arrived.
It ceases to have effect from 1er day of the month after its occurrence.
If you no longer qualify for the activity bonus, the payment ceases from 1er the day of the month you no longer fill them out.

In case of hospitalization
If you don't live as a couple and have no dependants, the amount of your activity bonus is reduced by half.
Warning
if you are pregnant, this discount does not apply.
In the event of incarceration
You must prevent the Caf: titleContent of your incarceration by sending a certificate of attendance so that the payment of the activity bonus is suspended.
Otherwise, you will be written off and you will have to repay the overpayment on your exit.
When you have received an overpayment of an activity bonus, your Caf may ask you to repay it during 2 years.
The overpayment is recovered by deduction from the future activity premium.
If you no longer receive the premium, the Caf may recover the amounts wrongly collected by withholding from the monthly installments of other future benefits.
Withholding may be made on the family benefits, the allowance for adults with disabilities and the housing allowances.

Can the amount of the activity bonus be increased?

What is the individual bonus?
Each member of the household with a professional activity can obtain a bonus that varies according to his monthly professional income (average over the last 3 months).
This bonus is due if the average monthly salary is higher than €709.18.
The amount of the subsidy is increasing according to income.
It ranges between a few euros (€26.29 for a monthly income of €700, for example) and €184.27 if the average salary is higher than €1,442.40.
Beyond that, the amount of the subsidy remains constant.

After review of your file and favorable opinion by the MSA services, you receive a notification allocation for a period of 3 months.
