Apa: how much of your unpaid balance?

The personalized autonomy allowance (Apa) is granted under conditions of age, residence and loss of autonomy. A financial contribution may be left to you, depending on the total amount of your resources per month. But to determine the total amount of your resources per monthHowever, only certain resources are taken into account. We explain.
The rules are different, depending on whether you are applying for an Apa at home or an Apa in an institution:
Apa at home
It all depends on your situation, depending on whether you live as a couple or not:

You're married, past, common-law
To estimate the amount of your outstanding balance per month, you need to know the following 2 amounts:
- The amount of your aid plan
- The total amount of your couple's resources per month. But only some of your couple's resources are taken into account. A list of these resources is provided in the column entitled "Monthly assessed resources" in the table below. The total amount of your couple's resources per month is the total amount of these resources, assessed per month, divided by 1.7.
Example :
The total of the column “Resources considered (assessed monthly)” is €3,400.
The total amount of your couple's resources per month is obtained by dividing €3,400 by 1.7.
The total amount of your couple's resources per month is therefore of €2,000.

Estimate your remaining charge on the Ehpad dependency rate
THEEhpad: titleContent who is hosting you will charge you a dependency rate.
The Apa is used to pay part of this fee. The other part is left to you.
The part that is left to your charge depends on the following 2 amounts:
- The dependency rate that the Éhpad charges you. To find out, ask the Éhpad.
- The total amount of your resources per month. But only some of your resources are taken into account. A list of these resources is provided in the column entitled "Monthly assessed resources" in the table below. The total amount of your couple's resources per month is the total amount of these resources, assessed per month, divided by 2.
Example :
The total of the column “Resources considered (assessed monthly)” is €3,400.
The total amount of your couple's resources per month is obtained by dividing €3,400 by 2.
The total amount of your couple's resources per month is therefore of €1,700.

Assistance may be provided to help you pay the accommodation rate, including housing assistance (APL or ALS) and a social assistance in accommodation (ASH)).
