During a roadside check by the internal security forces (police, gendarmerie), you must present the following documents:

  • Valid driving license, numeric format via the application France digital identity or paper format.
You can also present a Secure Driving Rights Certificate (ADCS). This attestation, downloadable via the My Permitted Points website, is valid for 4 months from its issue and can be reissued. It is valid only in France. You can present it in paper or digital format.
If you have just obtained a driver's license, present a ADCS: titleContent or the driver's license examination certificate (CRC) with the favorable endorsement.
In case of loss or theft of permit, present an ADCS. You can also present the declaration of loss or theft receipt that replaces the license for a maximum of 2 months.
