Space holders of the Weapons Information System (AIS)

Creating an account in the SIA: titleContent is mandatory for the holders of major private weapons following:

  • Person with a hunting permit, possessing a weapon, or wishing to acquire and possess a weapon
  • Person who holds or has held a license from the French Shooting Federation for the practice of shooting, ball-trap or biathlon, possessing a weapon, or wishing to acquire and possess a weapon
  • Person wishing to keep a weapon inherited or found
  • Person holding or wishing to acquire certain category C weapons and having neither allowed hunting nor a license to practice shooting, ball-trap or biathlon. It's class weapons C3 (defense weapon), category C9 (Class A, B or C firearm) neutralized) and C12 (alarm and signaling weapon).

If the information recorded in the provisional digital workshop is incomplete or inaccurate, the declarations or corrections shall be made in a 6 months delay from the opening of the SIA account.

  1. Click on “Create my account”
  2. Select the profile Holder
  3. Enter the information requested
  4. Add the documents requested
  5. Validate information A temporary screen informs you that an email has just been sent to you to finalize the creation of your account
  6. Check your inbox to open the mail and click on the link to validate the creation of your account

Once the account is created:

  • one identifier number is assigned to you. To log in to your account, you will need to enter this number and the password you have chosen.
  • one SIA number is assigned to you. This number will follow you throughout your life as a gun owner. It must be presented to your gunsmith before each intervention by him on your weapon.

Prepare your login id and your passworde.

You do not yet have an account on the Holders area

Prepare them supporting documents following scanned or photographed:

  • Valid identity document (identity card, passport or residence permit in France)
  • Proof of address
  • Hunting permit if you are a hunter or license of the French Shooting Federation if you are licensed for the practice of shooting, ball-trap or biathlon. Also prepare your SIA number if your dealer has had the opportunity to create one for you.
  • Medical certificate dated less than one month attesting that your physical and mental health is compatible with the possession of category C weapons if you have neither a hunting license nor a license to practice shooting, ball-trap or biathlon.
