How to apply for student accommodation at Le Crous? - For the academic year (or more than one month)

You must be student to benefit from a housing of Crous: titleContent. Housing is allocated according to the following criteria:
- Your personal situation. The criteria are the same as for the calculation of scholarships (your income and that of your parents, family composition, geographical distance and university results).
- Vacant housing.
The residences of the Crous: titleContent consist of moderately priced individual dwellings, which allow to receive a housing allowance.
They are located near the study sites and have access to public transport (bus, tram or metro depending on the city).
There are 2 types of university residences: traditional residences and contract residences.
Traditional residence
Possible types of accommodation:
- Furnished room of 9 m² with sink (kitchens, showers and collective toilets are outside the housing)
- Furnished room of 10 m² with shower, sink, refrigerator, WC (the collective kitchen is outside the housing)
- Furnished room of 14 m² with shower, sink, microwave, refrigerator (sometimes WC) and with collective kitchen outside the housing
- Furnished studio from 15 to 20 m² with kitchenette, shower, sink, fridge, WC.
The price is €200 à €500 per month, depending on the type of accommodation.
The housing allows receiving social housing allowance (SLA).
Residential agreement
Possible accommodation types: furnished apartment HLM, from studio to T3 (with kitchenette, shower, washbasin, refrigerator, WC)
Example of average rent: €400 per month for a T1.
The housing allows receiving housing assistance (APL).
1. Create your student social record (DSE)
From 1er March to May 31, 2026, you must complete your student social file (FSD) and tick the box “I am applying for housing”. To do this, you need to connect to an online service:

2. Participate in the procedure for the allocation of housing
The allocation of housing is done in 2 phases. One main phase is intended in priority to fellows and one complementary phase is open to all students.
Main phase: May 5 to June 29, 2026
You must make your wishes online on an online service:
You can perform in total 10 wishes, in the same city or different cities and Crous.
There is 3 allocation rounds of housing from 5 may to 29 may June 2026. After each round, you can change your wishes to better adjust them.

From that date, all students (scholarship holders or not, national or international) can consult the accommodation offers remaining available and book.
You need to do this on the following online service:

New offers are posted online throughout the summer depending on withdrawals and departures. There was no waiting list.
You are notified by SMS and email of the result of the housing allocations.
Please note
Remember to check the email address you provided when creating your EHR.
You must confirm your choice in the 48 hours following the decision to allocate the dwelling.
For this, you have to pay €100 booking fees on your account My Student Services (section Cited U'). This amount will be deducted from your 1er rent.
You must also complete, sign and send to the university residence the documents presented in the award decision. These include the "and the act of joint and several surety.
FYI
You can ask to Housing action to be your guarantor, that is, to vouch for you. This is about the Visale guarantee.
You must also pay the security deposit.
The keys to the accommodation are given to you.
You have to pay the 1er rent, net of the advance payment of royalties already paid (€100).
You must also submit the following documents:
- Certificate of insurance against rental risks (fire, water damage, civil liability)
- Student card or certificate of registration for the academic year for which you obtained the accommodation
