DSE (student social record): how to apply for a scholarship and/or housing?

Verified 03 March 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

If you are a student (or future student) and you want to apply for a scholarship on social criteria and/or housing in a university residence, you must compile your student social record (DSE). We explain how to do it.

You must create your EHR on the internet to make a scholarship application and/or of housing.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, you must apply between 1er March and May 31, 2026.

To do this, you need to connect to the following online service:

My Student Services: Building your Student Social Record (SDS)

You have an account (email address and password) if you have already made an EHR or if you are registered on Parcoursup.

If you don't have an account, you will need to create one with your INE (national student identification) number. This number can be found on your student card or on the baccalaureate registration confirmation form.

FYI

In case of significant and lasting change your situation (marriage, divorce) or that of your family (divorce, death, unemployment, retirement, illness), your file can be studied even outside these deadlines. Then contact the EHR department of the academy you depend on.

You must attach a copy of the following documents to your EHR:

  • Your own 2025 tax opinion on income received in 2024 and that of your parents (if you do not have a tax notice, you join that of your parents)
  • Your proof of education, and those of your siblings if they are also students
  • Your Bank Identity Statement (Rib)

Please note

If your parents are divorced, you must attach a copy of the extract from the divorce judgment entrusting you to one of your parents and setting the amount of child support. If there is no support, the other parent's tax notice must be sent.

Depending on your situation, you will need to provide additional documents:

Foreign nationality

If you are not French, you must attach a certificate on the honor of your parents indicating whether or not they receive income abroad and their amount. You can use a template:

Certification on honor

Care provided by the Child Welfare Service (Ase)

Refugee status

You must attach a certificate from the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (Ofpra).

Who shall I contact

Please note

If you are in a particular situation, your Crous may ask you for other documents

At the end of the constitution of your EHR, you will receive an email confirming the filing of your application.

If your file is incomplete, an email is also sent to you. You will then have to deposit the missing documents by logging into your account.
