What are the conditions for registering?

You must be available to search for a job.

For example, if you are a full-time employee or on civic service or parental education leave, you are not available for a job search.

When to register?

If you have lost your job, you can register the day after your last day of work.

How do I register?

On the website of France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi).

1- You need to create your personal space on the site. You must fill in your personal information. With your ID, social security number, email address.

2- Then, you must complete your personal space by specifying the reason for your registration, your diplomas and qualifications, your professional background, your bank details.

3- Finally, you must choose the date and time of your interview with a consultant at a France Travail agency (formerly Pôle emploi).

If you are unemployed, you can register at any time.

If you have lost your job, you can register as soon as the day after your last day of work.

Warning  

to register, you must be available.

To touch unemployment benefits, you must have worked a minimum period of work known as period of membership.

You must also register at the latest within 12 months of the end of your contract.

You must create your personal space on the France Travail website (formerly Pôle emploi).

You must complete your personal information with:

  • Proof of domicile

The effective date of your registration starts on the day of your registration via the Internet.

Once the registration is registered, your personal space is automatically created on the website of France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi). Your personal space France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi) contains the following documents:

  • Certificate of registration (job seeker card)
  • Notice of Change of Situation
  • Information notice on your rights and obligations

Within 30 days at the latest after registration, you must go to a professional interview with your France Travail advisor (formerly Pôle emploi).

You must make an appointment with your agency's advisor in your personal space. You choose the date and time of your interview online.
