What is the employment scheme for disabled workers?

The supported employment scheme is aimed at people with disabilities who are looking for a job in ordinary working environment or who are having difficulty keeping their jobs. We present you the information to know.
The accompanied use device is a personalized support which aims to support people with disabilities in their access to employment, on holding in their position and their professional development.
It is a comprehensive, continuous support adapted to each stage of the professional career.
This scheme is aimed at both job seekers and those already in employment who encounter difficulties in their work.
To benefit from the accompanied employment scheme, the following 3 conditions must be met:
- Have obtained the recognition of the status of disabled worker (RQTH) by the Commission on the Rights and Autonomy of Persons with Disabilities (CDAPH)
- Have at minimum 16 years
- Being at the job search in ordinary working environment where to occupy already a job and encounter difficulties in maintaining this job.
FYI
You can also benefit from the supported employment scheme if you work in a establishment and work support service (Ésat) and have a project for integration into the ordinary workplace. In this case, your integration project is considered as an approach to access to employment in the ordinary workplace.
To benefit from the accompanied employment device, you must apply to your departmental house for people with disabilities (MDPH).
The request can be made online through an online service, if the MDPH of your residence offers it:
MDPH (AAH, PCH, admission to Ésat, accommodation...) and renewal
You can also make your request by post through a form:
Application or renewal of disability benefits (AAH, PCH, CMI, accommodation...)
You must reach supporting documents mentioned during your online application or on the form.
The documents must be sent (or scanned if you apply online) to the MDPH of your place of residence.

Your Cap emploi or France Travail advisor (formerly Pôle emploi), your employer or a local mission may also recommend a referral to this system. In this case, the MDPH will contact you, by any means, to confirm your agreement.
If you meet the conditions, the CDAPH of the MDPH may decide to grant you access to the accompanied employment device.
It then directs you towards a departmental supported employment platform present in your department and gives you its contact details. You must contact this platform.
The platform assigns you a dedicated referent responsible for coordinating all the support. He becomes your main contact throughout your professional career.
One 1er maintenance shall be organized for:

- Identify your needs
- Specify your professional goals.
Following this interview, a personalized support plan and made with you. This plan defines the actions to be implemented.
It must be revised regularly to keep pace with your changing situation.

The platform may intervene to:
- Define your professional project taking into account your background, capacities and constraints
- Accompany your job search by targeting suitable offers and helping you respond to ads
- Prepare job interviews through scenarios and advice
- Help to the drafting of RESUME: titleContent and the cover letter.
Hired
The platform may intervene to:
- Accompany your adaptation to the position, by being present at the start
- Explain the organization and expectations of the position
- Propose arrangements (schedules, tools, etc.)
- Insure the link with your employer and the team to facilitate your integration and present the supported employment scheme.
In office
The platform may intervene to:
- Put set up regular monitoring to check that the position remains suitable
- Intervene in case of difficulties looking for solutions for you and your employer
- Accompany your professional development by thinking about prospects for development, training or job adjustments.
NoHowever, the accompaniment has no predetermined duration. You can benefit from it throughout your professional career.
