Housing assistance: what is Mobili-Jeune assistance?

Verified 01 January 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Are you under 30 years of age and on an apprenticeship or professional contract in a non-agricultural private sector company? You can benefit from Mobili-Jeune support under certain conditions. This help helps to support part of your rent (or royalty in particular for home-dwellings) during the duration of your work-study training. The aid shall be paid by Housing action. We present you the information to know.

FYI

One similar aid exists for participants in Territorial Volunteering in company (VTE), whether they are on a fixed-term/permanent contract or an apprenticeship or professionalization contract.

You must meet certain conditions.

  • You occupy 2 dwellings over the same period and you have a double rent charge (you have signed 2 leases).

You can benefit from Mobili-Jeune help if you are:

  • For rent or roommate in the private or social park (if you are roommate, Mobili-Jeune assistance only covers the part of your rent and your expenses) or sublease (only in the social park HLM)

The amount of aid varies from €10 minimum per month to €100 maximum per month.

The amount of aid shall be limited to €1,100 by year of training out of 11 monthly payments.

The calculation is made on the rent after deduction from personalized housing assistance (APL) if you get this help.

Example :

For a rent of €350 (including charges), if you touch €220 from APL, the aid paid will be €100.

For a rent of €350 (including charges), if you touch €280 from APL, the aid paid will be €70.

For a rent of €250 (including charges), if you touch €245 of APL, you will not be able to benefit from the aid because your remaining expenses are less than €10.

The aid may be applied for over a maximum of 2 years of training, consecutive or not, i.e. 2 times 11 months.
