If you live abroad, you can voting from the foreigner for the legislative, European, presidential and foreigner councilors elections and referendums. For this, you must be registered on the consular voters list. But to vote, especially in regional, departmental and municipal elections, you must be registered on the electoral list of a municipality. Warning
If you are registered to vote in the European elections in your host country, this registration takes precedence. It allows you to vote for the representatives of your host country in the European Parliament. If you want to elect French representatives from your host country, you must apply to be removed from the electoral list of your host country and apply to be registered on the consular electoral list.

Unless dissolved, the precise date of the election shall be fixed:
- Within 70 days before the end of the term of the previously elected National Assembly
