What change in the rating for the patent and baccalaureate in 2027?

From the 2027 session of the various exams, 2 points will now be devoted to the candidate's writing skills.

Four criteria for proficiency in the French language will be taken into account in the assessment of all National Patent Diploma (NBB), Bachelor's and Professional Diplomas tests :

• Spelling.
• The syntax/construction of sentences.
• The lexicon.
• The shaping and organization of reflection.

The rating will follow this scale : Very insufficient / Insufficient / Satisfactory / Very satisfactory.

The Ministry of National Education provides the following information on the application of the scale:

• A minimum of 2 points is awarded to language proficiency in each of the tests (proficiency in spelling and syntactic standards, ability to clearly formulate reasoning and use correct and adapted vocabulary).
• In addition to these 2 points, a higher weight can be attributed to language proficiency according to the teachings.
• For tests with a major editorial dimension: the average cannot be attributed to a defective copy on all aspects relating to language proficiency.
• The particular situation of candidates benefiting from an arrangement or adaptations related to the orthographic and syntactic standards is taken into account in the evaluation.
• For professional degrees: clarity of expression and intelligibility of written productions are important expectations, consistent with the professional communication requirements specific to each profession.
