All information about the 2025 school scholarship
Publié le 28 mai 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
The automatic study of the right to the scholarship when registering or re-registering your child was introduced in 2024. If you gave your consent last year, you don't have to do anything this year, your right to the scholarship will be automatically reviewed. If you have not done so, the scholarship application will have to be made in September. Service-Public.fr informs you about how to apply for a high school grant and the dates of the 2025 campaign.
High school scholarships are awarded to pupils attending high school and regional adapted education establishments (EREA). This does not apply to higher education students attending secondary school.
This financial assistance shall be granted on a means-tested basis. It allows eligible parents to cover the costs of their child's schooling (supplies, textbooks, etc.). It is divided into 6 steps which determine the amount allocated according to the number of dependent children in the household and the parents' income.
2025-2026 Campaign Schedule
The national high school scholarship application campaign will take place of 1er september to october 16, 2025 inclusive. It concerns pupils enrolled in a public high school, a private high school authorized to receive national scholars, or enrolled in the National Center for Distance Learning (Cned).
The grant application must be made by a legal guardian (mother, father or guardian) or a person in charge of the child. A young adult or emancipated person may apply if he or she is not attached to his or her parents' tax home.
