Schedule of vaccinations

Verified 28 May 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Are you wondering about the schedule of vaccinations? This calendar concerns people living in France regardless of their nationality. Some vaccinations are mandatory, others are recommended. Specific rules apply in particular for certain persons exposed to a particular risk. We'll lay out the rules for you.

The vaccination schedule includes the following information:

  • Vaccinations (mandatory and recommended) for people residing in France, depending on their age
  • General and specific recommendations for people who are at high risk due to their health status or higher exposure
  • Rate of injections.

He is updated annually by the Ministry of Health.

Vaccination is intended for everyone and for all ages (baby, child, adult).

There may be contraindications to vaccination (examples: medical contraindications, fever).

The healthcare professional decides, depending on the patient’s situation, whether vaccination can be carried out.

FYI

One chikungunya vaccination campaign is in progress Reunion and Mayotte with individuals 18 to 64 years with at least one comorbidity. The campaign will end on July 15, 2025 in La Réunion and October 15, 2025 in Mayotte.

The Ministry of Health has put a simplified schedule of vaccinations online.

This timetable highlights in particular:

  • Mandatory vaccinations for infants
  • How often vaccines are injected
  • Details for each vaccine.

You can seek advice from a healthcare professional: doctor, pharmacist, nurse or midwife (if you are pregnant or have just given birth).

In addition, on the Ministry of Health website, it is possible to:

  • Consult the vaccination schedule or a simplified map
  • See the recommended vaccinations according to your age and health.

Catch-up vaccination is for people who have not had boosters for a long time or who do not know where their vaccinations are (for example, they do not have a vaccination record).

In these cases, catch-up vaccination is a new schedule of vaccination established by the doctor. It may involve one or more vaccines at a time.

FYI

To avoid mistakes, it is necessary to keep your vaccination booklet up to date and to respect the deadlines of the vaccination schedule.

If you notice an adverse effect on your health, following vaccination, you can report it on the portal "Health reporting":
