If your child has just been recognized as having a disability, financial assistance may be granted to you subject to conditions.
AEEH and associated aids
As the parent of a child with a disability, you can perceive the child-rearing allowance for disabled children (AEEH) to help you pay for your child's disability expenses. This aid may be supplemented by one of the following:
- AEEH Complement or supplement to the disability compensation benefit (PCH) if your child has a certain disability rate
- Daily Parental Attendance Allowance (DPA) if the severity of your child's disability forces you to reduce or suspend your work activity.
Aid for transport
You can have a mobility inclusion card (CMI) to help you travel with your child.
If your child cannot use public transport to get to his school, he can benefit from other modes of transport including the costs can be covered.
Income tax
If you have the mobility inclusion card marked "disability" for your child, you are entitled to a additional half-share from family quotient.
