If you are a scholarship holder of the French government or ward of the nation, you are exempt from registration fees.

You have a conditional scholarship notification
If you perceive the scholarship on social criteria or a annual specific allocation, you can apply for an exemption from the CVEC.
You must obtain a certificate of acquittal from the CVEC before enrolling in your higher education institution.
You log in to www.CVEC.etudiant.gouv.fr after creating your account beforehand www.MesServices.etudiant.gouv.fr (the site CVEC.student.gouv.fr is accessible via MyServices.student.gouv.fr).
If you are exempt and have a conditional stock exchange notification, the site MyServices.student.gouv.fr automatically recognizes your exemption. You immediately upload your acknowledgement of acquittal.
You must present the certificate to your higher education institution at the time of registration.
If the registration process at your institution is done online, you will be asked to provide the certificate number.
If your registration procedure is physical, you must present your certificate (on smartphone or printed, depending on the establishment) at the time of registration.
If you opt out after paying the CVEC or if you interrupt your studies during the year, you will not be able to get a refund of this contribution.
You don't have it
You must pay the CVEC after you have created your account MyServices.student.gouv.fr. Then apply for a refund.
Depending on the payment method, you can download the certificate immediately (online payment) or after 2 days (cash payment). You will then have to provide the certificate to be reimbursed.

If you meet 1 condition that qualifies for exemption from the CVEC payment during the academic year, you will be able to obtain a refund of the CVEC. You must apply by May 31 of the current year on the site www.CVEC.etudiant.gouv.fr.
The student social security scheme was permanently abolished on 31 August 2019.
All students are affiliates the compulsory health insurance scheme.
