"Heating Boost" bonus

Do you want to replace your heating system with a system that consumes less energy? You can benefit from a financial assistance called “Heating Boost”. We tell you what are the conditions and the procedure to follow to benefit from it.
The Coup de pouce Chauffage premium is an aid to finance the replacement of a boiler at the coal or oil or gas by one of the following facilities:
- Individual biomass boiler - sheet BAR-TH-113 (boiler that uses organic fuel such as wood and its derivatives)
- Air/water type heat pump - plug BAR-TH-171
- Water/Water or Glycol Water (Network Water)/Water Type Heat Pump - BAR-TH-172 Plug
- Combined solar system - plug BAR-TH-143 (system combining a solar panel and a storage tank)
- Connection of a residential building (apartment or detached house) to the heating network - BAR-TH-137 file.
The Coup de pouce Chauffage premium also provides funding for the replacement of independent heating equipment at the coal by one independent wood-burning heater.

The bonus is for owners and tenants.
If you are a tenant, your landlord must authorize the work you want to do. However, you do not have to provide a document justifying this agreement in order to benefit from the premium.
Your home must have been built since more than 2 years.
All households may benefit from the premium.
However, the amount of the premium differs according to the nature of work to be undertaken and according to the level of your resources.
Households with the lowest incomes receive a higher premium.
The income withheld is the reference tax revenue (RFR) of year N-2 (i.e. 2024 for applications made in 2026).

Installation of an individual biomass boiler
The application for a premium for the installation of an individual biomass boiler must be made by December 31, 2030.
Please note
This premium request applies to work done in your principal residence only in your second home.
To apply for a bonus, you must follow the following steps:
- Verify that you are eligible by consulting the conditions
- Choose a company that signed the Coup de pouce charter (or one of its partners). You can compare the different offers available on each company's website.
- Accept the offer of the company that signed the charter (or one of its partners) before signing the work estimate. This offer must include a document describing the proposal.
- Sign the quote work proposed by a professional recognized guarantor of the environment (RGE). The date of signature of the quotation (or of the 1er estimate if there are several) must be made after the proposal of the signatory of the charter that you have selected
- Have the work done by the professional. The invoice must expressly mention the removal of existing heating equipment and the mention of heating energy (coal, fuel oil, gas, condensation) and the type of equipment deposited. The invoice shall indicate the performance of the settled heating equipment when required by the corresponding standardized operation record.
- Send the documents supporting the work (invoices, work certificates...) to the company that signed the charter (or one of its partners) within the prescribed time limits.

The criteria depend on the following information:
- Volume of EWC depending on the equipment to be replaced. The volume of EWC is officially recognized amount of energy savings for an operation (e.g. installation of a biomass boiler, connection to the district heating network, etc.). This volume is expressed in kWh cumac by geographical area (e.g. 41 300 kWh cumac).
- Coefficient of improvement depending on the equipment to be replaced (e.g. ×5 for a household with very modest incomes)
- EWC Award on the market (variable over time).
Since 1er October 2025, the amount of the premium is no longer fixed.
To know the exact amount of your premium, you can contact an energy supplier, as they are the ones who set the amount according to the market.
