Early retirement for a long career of a public official

You are official and started working young ? You can retire before the minimum starting age normal (set between 62 and 64 depending on your year of birth) if you have a certain duration of insurance paid in (all diets combined). We present you the conditions to be fulfilled to benefit from this early retirement.

Warning  

If you are contractual, you can benefit from early retirement for a long career from the Pension Insurance under the same conditions as a private sector employee.

To benefit from early retirement for a long career, you must meet the following 2 conditions:

  • Have started working before age 16, 18, 20 or 21
  • Have a determined number of quarters of pension insurance contributors (all plans combined) including a number before age 16, 18, 20 or 21.

Know the conditions for early retirement for a long career

The period of insurance paid in includes all periods of professional activity during which you paid into it :

  • At SRE: titleContent if you are a state official
  • Or to the CNRACL: titleContent if you are a territorial or hospital official
  • And, possibly, to one or more other compulsory pension schemes if you have worked under a status other than civil servant (contract in the public service, employee in the private sector, self-employed, liberal profession, etc.).

Certain periods are also to be taken into account as contributory quarters:

  • National service within 4 quarters
  • Periods of sick leave sick leave, of long illness, of long-lasting or periods of citis up to 4 quarters
  • Periods as a stay-at-home parent without work, periods of paid parental leave or caregiver leave, and periods of paid family caregiver leave for a child or adult with a disability who is permanently incapacitated to 80% validated under the general social security scheme and periods during which, as a civil servant, you fulfilled the conditions for affiliation to the general scheme's old-age insurance for the same reasons but were affiliated to the special scheme. These periods are taken into account within the limit of 4 quarters
  • Up to 2 quarters: bonus granted for each child born, adopted or raised for at least 9 years before the 21ste birthday, before 1er January 2004 and for which you have reduced or interrupted your professional activity in the context of maternity or adoption leave, parental leave or parental presence, availability or part-time entitlement to raise a child or increase in the duration of insurance granted for each child born from 1er January 2004, after your recruitment as a civil servant
  • Periods of maternity leave, regardless of the pension plan you were under during the leave
  • Periods of receipt of the Temporary Invalidity Allowance (TIA) or a disability pension, up to a maximum of 2 quarters
  • Quarters of increase in the duration of insurance acquired under prevention business account
  • Periods of compensated unemployment and periods of unemploymentpartial activity compensated, up to a maximum of 4 quarters
  • Quarters of increase in the duration of insurance for children with the old-age insurance of the general social security scheme (maternity supplement, adoption and education supplement, increase for parental education leave) or with another pension scheme within the limit of 2 quarters.

If you meet the requirements, you can apply for a single pension from your retirement account, which is valid for all of your pension plans.

Don't stop working until you have confirmed your situation with your other basic and supplementary pension plans.

Your early retirement for a long career is calculated under the same conditions any pension granted to a public servant.
