The attestation of good repute is an official document guaranteeing that a person does not have a written conviction in a criminal record or on the automated criminal record of perpetrators of sexual and violent offenses (FIJAISV) that prevents intervention with minors. The steps to obtain it are done via a dedicated platform depending on your status.

It has been mandatory since October 2025 for all professionals and volunteers working in the field of child protection and early childhood care (childminders, family assistants, nursery professionals and volunteers, homes, etc.). Since 1er in february 2026, it is also applicable to persons entering into an adoption procedure.

Please note

The system will be gradually extended in 2027 to professionals and volunteers working in an institution or service accompanying adults with disabilities, and in 2028 to professionals and volunteers working with the elderly.

Deployment for staff accompanying children with disabilities

The government continues to protect the most vulnerable by extending the system to those involved in an establishment or service accompanying children with disabilities. 6 regions have just introduced the obligation:

  • Grand-Est;
  • Hauts-de-France
  • Île-de-France;
  • Normandy;
  • Occitanie;
  • The Meeting;
  • Mayotte.

The scheme is being settled gradually and is expected to be available in all regions in autumn 2027.

In the first quarter of 2027, the system will gradually be extended to professionals and volunteers working in an institution or service accompanying adults with disabilities, and in 2028 to professionals and volunteers working with the elderly.

How can you obtain a certificate of good repute if you work with children with disabilities?

Are you a professional (including trainees, apprentices, occasional or regular external workers, technical service providers) or a volunteer working in an institution or service accompanying children with disabilities? You must present a valid attestation of good repute (less than 6 months):

  • at the time of your job interview;
  • then every 3 years during the professional exercise.

The request for a certificate of good repute shall be made online via a personal space and is available within 15 days on this same space.

Warning

Early childhood staff, disabled children or adoptive parent, check the conditions of validity of the attestation of good repute because they are different depending on your status.
