From Thursday 30 April to the evening (from 8:30 pm) to Sunday 3 May at midday, SNCF Réseau will undertake major work to replace and modernize switch stations. During this period, the Gare de Lyon will be closed, which means that no train will leave or arrive at this station. Are particularly concerned the TGV INOUI and Lyria.

Impact on rail traffic in Île-de-France

The work also affects the lines used by users in the Paris region:

the RER D is interrupted on several sections, in particular in Paris and towards the south of Île-de-France;

the line R (Transilien) does not travel between Paris and Melun during the entire period of closure.

These interruptions can be explained by the direct dependence of these lines on the technical facilities located at the Gare de Lyon. Two switching stations dating from the 1980s and 1990s will be replaced by new-generation computerized stations to provide more reliability and punctuality on the RER D and the R line, major axes of the Ile-de-France network currently being modernized.
