Seasonal farmers: financial assistance for the payment of your rent

Are you engaged in a seasonal mission in the agricultural sector? Discover the conditions to benefit from the assistance of Action Logement for the payment of your accommodation costs. This financial support can reach € 600 per year.

The aid for seasonal workers in the agricultural sector, proposed by Action Logement, is paid at a rate of €150 per month, for a maximum period of 4 months; the maximum amount of the subsidy is thus €600 per year.

To receive this financial assistance, you must meet the following conditions:

  • be employed by a company in the agricultural sector;
  • have a seasonal employment contract or fixed-term contract with the words “seasonal”;
  • justify charges for accommodation located close to your workplace.

Please note

The aid is renewable only once; after having received it for the first time, you can receive it in another calendar year (consecutive or not), provided that the eligibility conditions are again met.

What are the housing conditions for receiving this assistance?

Several types of accommodation are supported by the device:

  • rental;
  • subletting;
  • bed and breakfast;
  • gite;
  • tourist residence;
  • homestay room;
  • camping.

Your occupation of the dwelling must be formalized by a lease, an occupation agreement (excluding CROUS) or any other type of document proving a contract.

The request for assistance can be made up to 6 months after the start of your seasonal contract (this period starts at the earliest on the date of the pre-employment declaration and at the latest at the end of the trial period).

Please note

This aid for seasonal farmers can be combined with other Housing Action schemes, in particular the Visale guarantee, which acts as guarantor for the lessor when the eligibility conditions allow it (this system guarantees to your landlord the payment of the rent and rental charges in case of default of payment).
