Back to school 2025: list of recommended supplies

The list of school supplies requested by teachers must be limited and simple; according to the recommendations of the Ministry of National Education, when drawing up schools and establishments must take into account the financial cost and weight of the binder without however harming the quality of teaching. Model lists have been drawn up for middle school students and pupils enrolled in elementary school.

As a parent, you will be informed of the final list of supplies for your child as of June:

  • by posting the document online on the home page of the school's website, and within the digital work area (ENT);
  • by physically displaying the list in a place that is easily accessible to parents.

Model lists have been drawn up to present a reference framework to teachers. These lists include a set of basic items (diary, compass, 4 ballpoint pens, 12 colored pencils, etc.) made up according to the student's level: schoolboy or middle school. They take into account 3 factors:

  • a reasonable budget for all families;
  • a lightweight binder;
  • recyclable, sortable or refillable products.

Please note

To limit the cost of supplies for families, the Ministry of National Education advises schools and institutions to:

  • limit and harmonize teacher demands;
  • organize a phasing of purchases;
  • to engage as much as possible in bulk procurement of supplies.
