Application for marriage certificate (celebrated in France) - Free service

Allows you to request a marriage certificate celebrated in metropolitan France or in one of the overseas departments or territories at the town hall where the wedding takes place. But watch outSome municipalities do not offer this online service.

You must log in with FranceConnect.

3 different documents can be issued:

  • Either one full copy (i.e. reproduction of the entire marriage certificate)
  • Either one extract with parentage
  • Either one extract without parentage.

The approach is free.

The document is transmitted by post in a few days.

The delay may vary depending on the processing of the request by the services of the town hall and the time of delivery of the mail.
