Accommodation of a person with a disability
The choice of accommodation structure depends on the degree of autonomy of the person with a disability and the desired benefits.
A self-employed person may move to temporary accommodation or a shelter. If regular help is needed, a home of life is more suitable. In case of significant dependence, a nursing home (Fam) or a specialized nursing home (Mas) is recommended.
The Departmental House of Disabled Persons (MDPH) evaluates the level of autonomy and the needs of the person, then proposes the most suitable orientation.
