Yes, a seasonal employee, like all employees, benefits from a medical supervision. When the seasonal employee works in the agricultural sector, it benefits from a special medical follow-up. A medical examination is mandatory in some cases. We're taking stock of the regulations.
General case
A medical examination is mandatory in certain situations.
The rules differ according to the duration of the employee's employment contract:

The employee is recruited for less than 45 days of actual work
The employee does not benefit from a medical examination of hiring, but training and prevention measures organized by the Prevention and Occupational Health Service (SPST).
These training and occupational risk prevention actions include the theoretical presentation of occupational risks (musculoskeletal disorders, chemical risk, addictions, road risk...) or practical situations for example.
The employee is recruited for 45 days or more of actual work
The rules differ depending on whether the employee is assigned to a job posing particular risks (asbestos, lead for example) or not:

The employee does not benefit from a medical examination of hiring, but training and prevention measures organized by the Prevention and Occupational Health Service (SPST).
These training and occupational risk prevention actions include the theoretical presentation of occupational risks (musculoskeletal disorders, chemical risk, addictions, road risk...) or practical situations for example.
The employee is assigned to a position presenting particular risks
The employee receives a medical examination for hiring.
It can be dispensed of that review if the following 2 conditions are met :
- He is recruited for a job equivalent to those previously held
- No incapacity was recognized during the last medical examination in the previous 24 months.
The employee benefits from the following medical visits:
- Visits of pre-recovery and resumption of work
- Visits made at the request of the employer, employee or occupational physician
- Additional examinations carried out or prescribed by the occupational physician (for example, screening for a disease that may result from the employee's professional activity).

The cases of exemption are different depending on whether the employee has benefited from an information and prevention visit or a enhanced individual monitoring in his previous job:

The employee may be exempted from the Information and prevention visit (Vip) if the following 3 conditions are met :
- He or she is expected to be employed in the same job with equivalent exposure risks
- His last certificate of follow-up or last notice of fitness is in possession of the health professional
- No notice of incapacity or individual measures of accommodation, adaptation, transformation of the position or working time has been issued by the occupational physician in the last 5 years.
Please note
This time limit is reduced to 3 years if the health condition, age, working conditions or occupational risks to which the employee is exposed so require.
The employee benefited from enhanced individual monitoring
Enhanced individual follow-up includes an aptitude medical examination.
The employee may be exempted from this examination if the following 3 conditions are met :
- He or she is expected to be employed in the same job with equivalent exposure risks
- His last certificate of follow-up or last notice of fitness is in the possession of the occupational physician
- No notice of incapacity, nor of individual measures of accommodation, adaptation, transformation of the position or working time has been issued by the occupational physician in the last 2 years.
The seasonal agricultural worker benefits from the following medical visits:
- Visits of pre-recovery and resumption of work
- Visits carried out at the request of the employer, at the request of the employee or that of the occupational physician
- Additional examinations carried out or prescribed by the occupational physician (for example, screening for a disease that may result from the employee's professional activity).
