In case of error or omission, you can correct your tax return. Terms and conditions vary depending on whether you report online or on a paper form.

Warning
If you file your return, and not just a correction, after the deadline for filing the return online, you risk a penalty for late declaration.

Please note
If you have declared your income online on the mobile application "impots.gouv", you can correct your declaration on smartphone or tablet.
You can correct the amounts entered in the boxes, check or uncheck the incorrect boxes.
A confirmation email is sent to you at the end of the procedure.
You receive a new tax notice.
Then, your withholding tax rate is updated.
Warning
As with any statement, the administration may, if necessary, ask you for clarification, and possibly refuse the requested correction.
You cannot correct some errors through the online correction service.
This is the case in particular for the following:
- Change in family status (marriage, Civil partnerships, divorce, death, etc.)
- Update of the civil status
- Change of address.
You must request these changes using your secure messaging from your Private Area.
