Yes. During your period of unemployment, whether you are compensated or not, you can ask your France Travail advisor (formerly Pôle emploi) to benefit from a skills assessment.

You can contact your advisor.

Who shall I contact

A tool, developed by France Travail, exists to verify:

  • That your skills match those sought by employers
  • Or that the job you're heading for is right for you.

This is about Assessment of Professional Competences and Capabilities (ECCP). It allows:

  • To assess the skills and knowledge corresponding to a trade
  • To help identify other functions or sectors on which you could position yourself by using the skills acquired previously.

For half a day or a day, a service provider selected by France Travail will give you tests. This provider shall:

  • Draws up an assessment of your professional achievements
  • Isolates your strengths
  • Explains how to promote them to potential employers
  • And eventually put in place an action plan to specify your training needs.

You can use your CPF to access a competency check if you meet the following 2 conditions:

  • You did not benefit from a publicly funded balance sheet (examples: Opco: titleContentFrance, Labor, Agefiph: titleContent, Caisse des dépôts et consignations) in the last 5 years
  • You mobilize to the maximum €1,600 registered on your CPF.

FYI

Only the hours of support provided by a service provider may be financed by the mobilization of the rights recorded on the CPF.
