Yes. During your period of unemployment, whether you are compensated or not, you can ask your France Travail advisor (formerly Pôle emploi) to benefit from a competency assessment.

You can use your Personal Training Account (CPF) to access a skills assessment.
A tool, developed by France Travail, exists to verify:
- That your skills match those sought by employers
- Or that the job you're heading for is right for you.
This is about theassessment of professional skills and abilities ECCP. It allows:
- To assess the skills and knowledge corresponding to a trade
- To help identify other functions or sectors on which you could position yourself by using the skills acquired previously.
For half a day or a day, a service provider selected by France Travail will give you tests. This provider shall:
- Draws up an assessment of your professional achievements
- Isolates your strengths
- Explains how to promote them to potential employers
- And eventually put in place an action plan to specify your training needs.
