Remuneration at the end of training (RFF or R2F) for a job seeker

Verified 01 April 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Can you benefit from paid training as a jobseeker? You can receive, under conditions, the remuneration for completion of training (RFF or R2F) awarded by France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi). We present you the information to know.

The remuneration at the end of training (RFF) is granted to job seekers registered with France Travail who follow a training action validated and financed by France Travail.

The RFF takes over from the Return to Employment Assistance (RHE) allowance or Professional security allowance (ASP) where the duration of the training exceeds the duration of the ARE or ASP entitlements.

The RFF allows you to continue to receive remuneration after the end of the rights to the ARE or the ASP.

You can benefit from the end-of-training remuneration (RFF) if you meet the 2 conditions following:

FYI

You must undergo continuous training to perceive FRR.

The training courses concerned are those leading to a qualification meeting one of the following conditions :

  • The training is recognized by a diploma or professional title registered in National Register of Professional Qualifications (NCPR)
  • Training is recognized in the classifications of a collective agreement national branch
  • The training is included in a list drawn up by the national joint employment commission of a professional branch.

The professions concerned by these trainings are the so-called professions in tension, i.e. those for which recruitment difficulties are identified.

Please note

The following arrangements shall not give rise to the payment of the RFF:

The procedure to be followed differs depending on whether you are a former private sector employee or a job seeker who is receiving compensation from your former public employer.

Former private sector employee

If your entitlements to the ARE or the ASP are insufficient to cover the entire duration of your training, you can ask France Travail to benefit from the RFF.

Your France Travail advisor will provide you with an application form.

If your application is accepted, France Travail pays you the RFF upon expiry of your entitlement to the ARE or the ASP.

The RFF is paid for the remainder of the training period.

France Travail will reply to you within 21 days from the date of your request.

In case of negative answer, France Travail informs you by mail indicating the reason for the refusal.

You can then:

  • Either give up the training
  • Either confirm your intention to take the planned training without benefiting from the RFF
  • Either choose a new course compatible with the duration of your compensation rights.

Jobseeker compensated by a public employer

If your entitlements to the ARE or the ASP are insufficient to cover the entire duration of your training, you can ask France Travail to benefit from the RFF.

Your France Travail advisor will provide you with an application form.

France Travail sends your former public employer (who pays you unemployment benefits) the certificate of your registration for the training and the RFF application form.

Your former public employer sends France Travail the request for payment of the RFF 2 months before the date on which the WFAA is paid.

France Travail will reply to you within 21 days from the date of your request.

In case of negative answer, France Travail informs you by mail indicating the reason for the refusal.

You can then

  • Either give up the training
  • Either confirm your intention to take the planned training without benefiting from the RFF
  • Either choose a new course compatible with the duration of your compensation rights.

The daily amount RFF is equal to the last daily amount of the WFA or SPA you received on the date your entitlement to this allowance ends.

The monthly amount is equal to the daily amount multiplied by the number of days in the month, up to €775.65 per month.

FYI

The RFF is taxable.

The RFF is paid to you every month: for example, at the beginning of November for the October allowance.

The RFF is paid until the end of the training.

However, the maximum cumulative duration of payment of the WFAA or SPA and FRG is 3 years for the same training.

You must renew every month your registration to France Travail to continue to collect the RFF.

In case of interruption of the training for a period longer than 15 calendar days, the payment of the RFF shall be suspended.
