You are student foreigner (in a country European or not) or refugee in France and you wish register to study in french higher education? The procedure registration varies depending on your nationality, your level of study or the type of higher education institution in which you wish to enroll.

Student from a European country
If you are a student European, the procedure differs depending on whether you want to register in 1re year of a bachelor's degree, in master's or in a other level (2e and 3e bachelor's degree, doctorate).

1st year of license
To apply in 1re year of licenseHowever, you must follow the same registration procedure as a French student to enroll in a higher education institution.
You must therefore log in, between the end of December and mid-March, on Parcoursup :

Registration in 1st year of license
The procedure differs depending on whether you have the nationality of the country in which you reside or the nationality of a European Union countries :
Nationality of country of residence
If you prepare a french or european baccalaureate, you must express your wishes for training on Parcoursup between late December and mid-March. At the same time, you must follow the procedure Studies in France on the dedicated platform.
Parcoursurp: enrollment in higher education
If you prepare another degree (giving access to French higher education), you will have to make a prior application for admission (PAD) and follow the procedure Studies in France. The DAP must generally be done between the beginning of October and mid-December of the year preceding the desired academic year.
The DAP and the rest of the procedure are done online from the platform Études en France.
Nationality of an EU country
Between the end of December and mid-March, you must express your wishes for training on Browse.
Registration in another level
If you want to continue your studies in France from the 2e or 3e year of bachelor's or master's degree, you must follow the procedure Studies in France until obtaining a student visa. To do this, you need to connect to the dedicated platform:

The procedure Studies in France does not concern foreigner students who want to enroll in doctorate. Contact directly the doctoral schools that offer the research topics that interest you.

General case
If you are stateless, refugee or beneficiary of the subsidiary protection by theOfpra: titleContent, you must apply directly to the university. Ask the university for the application dates.
The institution is free to choose whether or not to accept your application on the basis of its own criteria.
In practice, the university verifies that you have a diploma opening access to higher education in the country where it was obtained.
You do not apply for prior admission (DAP) to the university. You also do not have to follow the procedure for checking your language level.
The receipt for the application for a protection scheme does not allow the benefit of the exemption from PAD and language verification. You must present the proof of allocation of protection scheme, i.e. the final document.
