In third grade, your child must specify his or her personal study plan and choose an orientation.

To help him, he participates, with you, in personalized orientation interview led by the class's senior teacher. The national education psychologist also participates.

Your child must choose one of the 3 possible orientation paths after college:

  • General and technological second
  • Second Professional
  • Certificate of Professional Competency (CAP) - 1re year.

As a second general rule, your child will be able to choose, in addition to the common core teachings, optional teachings. For example, creation and culture design, biotechnology.

He will have to choose at the end of the second class the specialties of the baccalaureate that he will prepare.

To help him in his choices, he will benefit from 2 hours personalized support.

The training takes place in 3 years (with the year of the second) for a general baccalaureate or a technological baccalaureate.

Please note

Some technology degrees are prepared from a specific second. This is the case for the Bachelor of Technology in Hospitality and Catering Sciences and Technologies (STHR) and the Bachelor of Technology in Music and Dance (TMD). This is also the case for technical patents (BT) draftsman in applied arts and music professions.

The second professional allows your child to pass a professional bac after 3 years of training.

It exists about 75 specialties of professional bachelor's degree. The training shall include general, vocational and periods of training in the workplace.

Your child also benefits from a personalized support.

He may, under certain conditions, pursue higher education after having obtained one of these diplomas.

Please note

During his training, your child can get a professional studies certificate (BEP).

The CAP forms in 2 years young people with specific techniques to pursue a specific profession.

The training includes general, vocational and technological education and periods of training in a professional environment.

After graduation, your child can also enter a professional first grade class.

FYI

Your child can also get the CAP by learning.
