Can the adult disability allowance (AAH) and the RSA be combined?
Verified 12 June 2026 - Public Service / (Prime Minister)
Yes, you can accumulate the active solidarity income (RSA) and the allowance for adults with disabilities (AAH) if you meet the requirements.
However, if you collect AAH, you cannot not receive the RSA in full. The amount of your RSA will then be reduced by the amount of your AAH you receive.
Example :
You are a single person, you have no resources and you perceive the maximum amount of the AAH which is €1,041.59 (whether you have a disability rate between 50% and 79% or more). You also receive the RSA amount for a single person in the amount of €651.69.
The cumulative AAH and RSA allocation will be calculated as follows: €1,041.59 - €651.69 = €389.90
You perceive €1,431.49(€1,041.59 + €389.90).
