When hiring a new employee, the employer must arrange a hiring visit with occupational medicine. This visit, called information and prevention visit (Vip), shall take place in the 3 months following the hiring. In some situations, an employee may be exempt from performing a Vip. The conditions of this exemption vary depending on whether the employee is hired by a temporary (temporary) work company or not. We're taking a look at the regulations.
General scenario
The conditions of exemption from the Vip differ according to the situation of the employee in the company:

When the employee has benefited from a Vip in the 5 years prior to his hiring, the organization of a new Vip is not required since the 3 conditions the following are combined:
- Occupation by the employee of a identical use with equivalent exposure risks
- Detention by the health professional of the last certificate of follow-up or of the last opinion of suitability
- No notice of unfitness no individual accommodation, adaptation, transformation of the position or working time has been issued by the occupational physician in the last 5 years.

Temporary employee
Before a new mission, the organization of a new Vip is not required when 3 conditions the following are combined:
- Knowledge by the health personnel a follow-up certificate issued for the same job in the 2 years prior to hiring
- Worker called to occupy a identical use with equivalent exposure risks
- During the Last 2 years, the occupational physician did not issue of unfit opinion or individual measures for the accommodation, adaptation, transformation of the position or working time.
