A new confidential chat dedicated to protecting young people

Publié le 26 novembre 2025 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

You are under 18 years old and you are looking for a listening space for a problem at home, on the street, on social networks, in college...? Since November 20, the online platform L'Espace Mineurs is dedicated to you with a confidential chat available at any time. Public Service tell you more.

Cyberharassment, physical and sexual violence, prostitution, blackmail, racketeering, drug trafficking... To deal with these situations to which young people may be exposed today, the website of the police and the national gendarmerie "Ma Sécurité" has just opened a specific space for exchanges for children under 18: Minor Space.

You can access it through the home page of the My Security site.

This digital space was designed to provide a “safe and caring” environment for children and adolescents facing situations of danger, violence, abuse or exposure to risks online.

To facilitate young people's access to assistance, in a discreet and immediate way, the Espace Mineurs offers a secure chat, open 24/7 where the young person can be “listened to, advised and supported”.

You can access the chat directly by clicking on “I open the chat”. Or choose one of the proposed contexts (with different situations for each):

  • At home, on the street, at sports...
  • On social networks
  • Within the school, college or high school

Please note

Designed with students from CM2 to high school, the Espace Mineurs offers content designed with and for young people. In addition to chat, you will find advice and prevention sheets and educational resources.

What does the chat offer?

This confidential chat is at the heart of the device. It allows exchanges with police officers and gendarmes trained to welcome this population, with the support of a psychologist.

During this exchange:

  • the user benefits from attentive and personalized listening;
  • its situation is assessed in the light of the elements described;
  • he is then referred to specialized professionals or to a judicial procedure if necessary.

Reminder

In case of emergency, call the 17 (Rescue Police), the 112 (for all European Union countries) or 114 (in case of difficulty speaking and hearing).
