Energy Check: the platform to claim support is now open

The energy check is a financial assistance for people with modest incomes, for the payment of their energy expenses. The modalities for identifying beneficiary households have evolved in 2025 ; this identification is now carried out by crossing the following information:

• tax data, including the reference tax income and the number of persons connected to the tax household of the holder of the electricity supply contract;
• the electricity delivery point number of the dwelling.

Households identified as eligible are informed by email or SMS during the month of October. The checks are then automatically sent to them, without any procedure to be carried out, during the month of November.

You think you meet the eligibility conditions of the energy check but you are not one of the identified beneficiary households?

If you find that you meet the eligibility criteria but are not among the identified beneficiary households, you can claim the aid from 15 October on a dedicated accessible platform on the energy check website. To access this portal, you must log in via France Connect or via the personal account you created on the energy check website. This platform will be available until February 28, 2026.

If you make your requeste (on the platform or by post) by early november and if approved, your energy check will be part of the shipments made by the device as of november 19, 2025. For subsequent applications, energy checks will then be sent out as required. Typically, if your application is approved and you have opted for a paper check, you will receive it within one month of your application being approved.
