Last days to claim the energy check 

The energy check is a financial assistance for people with modest incomes, for the payment of their energy expenses. The the way in which beneficiary households are identified has changed in 2025 ; this identification is now carried out by crossing the following information:

• tax data, including the reference tax income and the number of persons connected to the tax household of the holder of the electricity supply contract;
• the electricity delivery point number of the dwelling.

Households identified as eligible were notified by email or SMS during the month of October. The checks were then automatically sent to them in November, without them having to take any action.

You think you meet the eligibility conditions of the energy check but you are not part of the identified beneficiary households?

If you find that you meet the eligibility criteria but are not among the identified beneficiary households, you can claim the aid on a dedicated platform accessible since October 15 on the energy check website. To access this portal, you must log in via France Connect or via the personal account you created on the energy check website. This platform is available until February 28, 2026.

If you made your request (on the platform or by post) at the beginning of November and once approved, your energy check was part of shipments made by the device as of november 19, 2025. For subsequent applications, energy checks are sent out as they are received. As a general rule, if your application is approved and you have opted for a paper check, you will receive it within one month of the approval of your application.
