The educational contract is upgraded

Do you have an occasional activity as a facilitator, educator or director in a colony or recreation center? You are concerned by the upgrading of the educational contract of employment (CEE). Service-Public.fr informs you about this measure, which follows a decree published on December 4, 2025, and reminds you of what the educational engagement contract is.

As of 1er May 2025, the remuneration floor of educational engagement contracts (EWCs) is upgraded. For this type of contract, the remuneration may not be less than an amount calculated from the daily minimum wage.

With the decree of 4 December 2025, the daily remuneration for an EWC increases to 4.30 times the hourly minimum wage (from 2.20 times its current value): from €26.14 per day, €51.08 per day (Gross amount).

This upgrading is in response to the need to harmonize the remuneration of volunteers (and occasional) who engage in the collective reception of minors, with that of regular organizers. The measure aims to make the ‘voluntary’ animation sector more attractive, starting with practical training.

The educational contract allows for occasional facilitation and management functions in the collective reception of minors. It is a specific contract which derogates from the rules of labor law on certain aspects (working time, break time and remuneration).
