Moving bonus in 2026

The moving bonus is intended for large families with at least 3 dependent children (born or unborn within 6 months of the move).

To obtain it, the conditions are as follows:

• have at least 3 dependent children (born or unborn);
• the move must be scheduled between 1^er day of the month following the end of your 3^e month of pregnancy and the last day of the month preceding 2^e birthday of your last child;
• be eligible forAPL or atALF for your new home.

This premium is paid by the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) or by the Mutuelle sociale agricole (MSA); you must be a recipient of either.

Since 1^er April 2026 (depending on the number of dependent children), the maximum amount granted is:

• €1 147.58 for 3 dependent children (€1 138.49 in 2025);
• €1 243.21 for 4 dependent children (€1 233.36 in 2025);
• €95.63 per additional child (€94.87 in 2025).

These amounts are valid until March 31, 2027.

What are the other aids?

There are other supports if you move:

• The Solidarity Fund for Housing (FSL) which varies from one department to another. You can benefit if you are in a difficult personal situation. Contact directly your Caf or your MSA, the social action center of the City of Paris or your town hall if you live in another municipality. A social worker will be responsible for making a request for help.
• Assistance for the installation of State personnel (AIP) (reserved for officials, contract staff, etc.). Its amount varies from 700 to 1,500 € depending on the situation. Learn more about the website of the State social action.
• Disability compensation benefit (PCH). This aid is intended to compensate for the loss of autonomy of people with disabilities for whom moving expenses can be covered up to €3,000.
• Aid according to collective agreement. If you are an employee, you may be covered and/or a day off (or even more) may also be granted for the move.
