What support does the Solidarity Fund for Housing (FSL) provide?

The Solidarity Fund for Housing (FSL) provides financial assistance to the applicant who has difficulties to pay the fees related to its accommodation. This financial assistance may take the form of loan or a grant. The conditions to be complied with in order to obtain aid from the SLF are laid down by the department services. We explain.

There is a solidarity fund for housing (SLF) by department.

The FSL brings a financial assistance to the applicant who has difficulties to pay the fees related to its accommodation.

The LSF aid may be paid in the form of loan (amount to be refunded to the SLF), or in the form of grant (without refund).

The aid may be used to pay the following costs:

The help of FSL: titleContent may be granted to you if you are one of the following :

  • Tenant or sub-tenant
  • Owner living in his own home
  • Person hosted for free
  • Resident of home-dwelling.

To obtain assistance from the SLF, the total income of persons living in the dwelling (without taking into account the back-to-school allowance, theAEEH: titleContent, theAPL: titleContent, theALS: titleContent and theALF: titleContent), must not exceed one showing maximum.

The amount of aid may be modulated, i.e. an applicant with low incomes can obtain a larger amount of aid than an applicant with higher incomes.

Warning  

The SLF's assistance is not granted in a automatic. For example, if your rent is too high for your total income, you may be denied LSP assistance. In the event of a refusal, the LSP's decision must state the reason for the refusal.

Each FSL to its clean award criteria. For example, some departments grant LSP assistance on the condition that the applicant receives the activity premium.
