Driving schools: where to train when you have a disability?

Publié le 07 juillet 2025 - Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

You are disabled and you want to pass your driving license? You can now view on the map of accredited driving schools those specializing in learning for people with disabilities.

The official driving school map allows you to choose the driving school adapted to your situation. A filter now makes it possible to identify, within all approved schools, those which are suitable for learning to drive in a situation of locomotor and/or auditory disability.

This novelty responds to a major challenge of autonomy and inclusion.

How to do a search?

See you on the map of driving schools Road Safety:

  • choose the license category that suits you;
  • enter your address;
  • filter with the tool at the top right: you can indicate the disability that concerns you: auditory or motor;
  • the tool tells you if a driving school of this type exists near you and refers you to its detailed sheet.

For each driving school, you have access to practical information such as:

  • the type of driving school (associative, traditional, online);
  • the learning methods proposed (accompanied, supervised driving);
  • the driving school success rate and the average for each department;
  • or financing options such as the €1 per day permit.

Please note

The road safety interactive map lists in total 353 specialized driving schools in France and overseas.
