After the identity card and the driver's license, it is now the turn of the registration certificate (Certificat d'Registration) to be able to be integrated into your application France Identité. This new feature allows you to present your Service-Public.fr tell you more.

Users of France Identité can import their vehicle registration certificate into the application, as of June 30, 2025. This feature is available for the following vehicles:

  • passenger cars;
  • motorized tricycles and quadricycles;
  • two- or three-wheel mopeds;
  • motorcycles.

You can integrate a certificate of registration into your application France Identity as holder or co-holder of, or as a private lessee of a vehicle (including leasing). If you are attached to more than one vehicle, you can import more than one gray card.

Warning  

To activate your digital identity and import your documents into the application France Identité, you must have the national identity card in bank card format. As of March 31, 2025, you can request a free renewal of your ID card, even if it is still valid. by indicating that you want to take advantage of the digital identity.

Importing a vehicle into the application France Identité is only possible for vehicles registered in France since the introduction of the new registration system in 2009. For example:

  • for cars, those with registration numbers in the format ‘AA-123-AA’;
  • for mopeds, this applies to mopeds with a registration number in the format ‘1 or 2 letters + 2 or 3 digits + 1 letter’ (e.g. ‘A 14 C’ or ‘ZT 719 N’).

The integration of the registration certificate in France Identité is part of the State's dematerialization of official documents. The application already allows you to access your identity card and driving license in digital format, and Activate your Digital Vital Card within a specific application.

The government's objective is to create a "digital portfolio" grouped in France Identité to facilitate citizens' administrative procedures.

How to integrate your specific in France Identity?

If you have not already done so, you must first download the France Identity application (available on Android and iOS) and activate your digital identity.

Warning  

To use the application, you must have a mobile phone with a minimum operating system version 11.0 for Android, and a minimum operating system version 16.6 for iOS.

To import a following into the France Identity application, you must:

  • Click on the “+” symbol on the application home page to add a new map.
  • enter the registration number and the formula number on your vehicle’s registration certificate;
  • Enter the personal code you created for your France Identity application.
  • perform an NFC reading of your identity card (this action consists in placing your mobile phone on the front of your identity card, following the instructions given to you within the France Identité application).

Once you have performed these various operations, the digital format of your vehicle will appear in your France Identité application, alongside your other digital titles. You can click on it to open it and use it at any time according to your needs (a roadside check, an administrative procedure requiring the following such as the technical check of your vehicle, etc.).

The paper format of the following remains valid, allowing you to present either version of the document (paper or digital) as desired.
