How to get a list of all the bank accounts you hold in France?

Publié le 05 février 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

The national file of bank accounts (Ficoba) allows you to know all your bank accounts opened in France (current accounts, savings accounts, securities accounts...). Service-Public.fr provides you with steps to take to obtain this information.

As of January 6, 2025, you can directly access the national file of bank accounts and similar (Ficoba) to obtain the list:

  • bank accounts still open in your name at an establishment in France;
  • French bank accounts in your name that have been closed for less than 10 years.

Previously, you had to go to the National Commission for Informatics and Freedoms (Cnil) to obtain this information. To access Ficoba, you must in order:

  • connect to your "private" space on the site impots.gouv.fr ;
  • go to the "other services" section;
  • choose, depending on your situation, the module "request made on your own account" or "request made for a minor child" (the request must be made for a minor for whom you are the legal representative).

You don't immediately receive a list of your bank accounts. You are then informed of the processing of your request by a message sent to your e-mail address; and you can follow the progress of your request by consulting your secure e-mail available on the site impots.gouv.fr.

FYI

The national file of bank accounts and similar does not indicate the transactions carried out on your accounts, and their balance.

You cannot object to the registration of your accounts in Ficoba.

Please note

You can also request access to the list of accounts registered in Ficoba:

  • on behalf of a deceased person of whom you are the heir;
  • on behalf of a protected person (guardian, guardian or ward of the State);
  • on behalf of a company or association;
  • on behalf of your spouse in the context of a divorce, liquidation or interest-sharing litigation (through a notary or a lawyer appointed in a decision).

In these cases, you must send your request by mail to the national processing center FBFV (you can find all the terms and conditions and the documents to be attached depending on your situation on our factsheet “File of bank accounts (Ficoba)”, section ‘How do I request access to Ficoba?’).
