Colleges and high schools: performance indicators 2025

Publié le 03 avril 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

You are wondering about the success rate at a high school in your city or department, or the success rate at the baccalaureate if your child is in middle school. The Ministry of National Education has just published the performance indicators of middle and high schools for the year 2025.

To assess the added value of a college or high school, the Department of Evaluation, Foresight and Performance (DEPP) of the Ministry of National Education publishes the performance indicators (success rate, access rate, mention rate) by college and by high school.

The College Value-Added Indicators (CVAI) shall take into account the educational and social characteristics of the pupils of the institution. They allow:

  • report on how colleges accompany students through to the certificate;
  • to evaluate the results against those of comparable institutions at national level.

The high school value-added indicators (IVAL) evaluate the specific action of each high school. They take into account the success of the students in the baccalaureate and their academic path in the institution. They concern all high schools of general and technological education and vocational, public and private high schools under contract.

It is possible to perform a search according to different criteria:

  • name of the establishment;
  • city, department;
  • establishment number;
  • training pathway.

Please note

It is called “value added” because the question is what an institution has “added” to the initial level of its students. The indicators measure the difference between the results achieved and the expected results, taking into account the school and socio-demographic characteristics of the students.
