World Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia: A Campaign for Youth

In all secondary schools and colleges, the campaign launched on 17 May, “Here you can be yourself”, is part of the fight against violence in all its forms and in all places, whether physical, psychological or sexual, against homophobia, lesbophobia, biphobia and transphobia.

The Ministry of National Education is taking steps to improve the working conditions of its staff by including the risks related to psychological and/or sexual harassment. It proposes a national listening cell made up of psychologists: 0 805 500 005 (free 24/7 access, individual and anonymous listening).

Guides to accompany school staff

May 17 is a day to promote awareness-raising and prevention activities.

As part of the “Here you can be yourself” campaign, 2 practical guides are offered to the educational teams:

• Accompanying guide Here you can be yourself for all school staff, with educational and pedagogical paths that can mobilize a range of actors against LGBT+phobias in schools;
• A school that is sympathetic to students' situations of misery, a guide to: better know and identify the signs of student discomfort, act in consultation with school leaders.
