Expropriation

Expropriation is a procedure that allows a public person (State, local authorities...) of constrain one particular or a legal person (company) to cede ownership of his property, subject to payment of a compensation. This procedure contributes in particular to the construction of public works (social facilities, sanitation networks, etc.). In some cases, after the expropriation, the expropriated person may have a right to take back the property.
