Social security: change in personal situation

Does your personal situation change (for example: moving house, changing bank, birth of a child)? You must inform your social security organization. The formalities vary depending on whether you depend on the general scheme (CPAM: titleContent) or the agricultural scheme (MSA: titleContent). We take stock of the steps to follow.
General Scheme (CPAM)
We present 4 of the main changes related to personal situation: declare a pregnancy, declare a birth or adoption, declare a change of postal address or bank.

Declare a pregnancy
Your doctor or midwife can make the pregnancy declaration online. Then you don't have to do anything.
If not, you must send the paper return to your CPAM: titleContent and to your Caf: titleContent.
On the internet
Your doctor or midwife completes your pregnancy report online and sends it directly to:
- Your CPAM
- And to your Caf.
You don't have to fill out a form or send mail.
The declaration of your pregnancy is recorded immediately by your CPAM and your Caf.
Pregnancy must be declared before the end of the 3e month of pregnancy to benefit as quickly as possible from the management of your pregnancy.
Form
Your doctor or midwife completes and gives you the 3-part pregnancy declaration form entitled “ First prenatal medical examination ».
To declare your pregnancy, complete the information about yourself and send:
- The pink panel at your CPAM
- And the 2 blue shutters at your Cafe.
You must declare your pregnancy before the end of the 3e month of pregnancy to benefit as quickly as possible from the management of your pregnancy.
Declare a birth or adoption
You can inform the Social Security by internet or by phone:

Within 5 to 8 days after the declaration in town hall, you can declare the birth of your child (or an adoption) via your account (section “ My steps ’):

Send your CPAM a letter containing the following information:
- Your Social Security number (it appears on your Vital Card)
- Your first and last name
- Your old and new address
- The expected moving date.
Attach to this letter a copy of your double-sided identity document (examples: identity card, passport, visa...).
Declare a change of bank
This declaration can be made by internet or by mail:

You send a letter to your primary caisse containing the following information:
- Your Social Security number (it appears on your vital card)
- Your first and last name.
Attach the following documents to this letter:
- New bank identity statement (RIB)
- Copy of your old RIB (or otherwise the IBAN number of your old account)
- Copy of your double-sided ID.

If you are moving, remember to indicate your new address and add a copy of a proof of address from your old address.

Any person who deliberately refuses affiliate or who insists not to engage the steps for his compulsory affiliation to a social security scheme is punishable by imprisonment of 6 months and a fine of €15,000 (or only one of these penalties).
Agricultural Scheme (MSA)

Declare a pregnancy
Your doctor can make the pregnancy declaration online.

The 2 blue sheets of this document should also be sent to your MSA: titleContent, if you choose it to pay your family benefits.
You must declare your pregnancy within the first 14 weeks or before the end of the 3e month of pregnancy to benefit as quickly as possible from the management of your pregnancy.
Declare a birth
After childbirth, you must send thebirth certificate your child at the MSA to give them health and family rights. This shipment is done by internet or by mail.
