What are the rules when traveling with a dog, cat or ferret?
You can travel with your dog, cat or ferret if it meets all of the following conditions:
- To be identified by microchip (or by tattoo if it was made before July 3, 2011 and if it remains legible)
- Have a european identification passport issued by a veterinarian
- To be vaccinated against rabies. Rabies vaccine is possible from 12 weeks (3 months) and takes effect at least 21 days (3 weeks) later It must be the subject of a annual reminder. Vaccination must be carried out after identification to be recognized as valid.
