What should a foreigner do in the event of a change of address?

If you are a foreigner, you have a residence card of duration greater than 1 year and that you have moved (to the same municipality or another), you must declare your new domicile within 3 months of your move.

To make your request via the internet, you must provide in format digital all following documents (they must be legible):
- Residence permit
- Passport (pages on civil status, validity dates and entry stamps)
- Proof of address less than 3 months old.
If you request the manufacture of a new residence card:
- e-photo : enter the e-photo code (provided by the photographer or the authorized booth on the photo board). If you don't have an e-photo yet, you can locate a digital photo and signature service.
Your declaration of change of address will be recorded free of charge. You will receive a attestation to be kept.

The manufacture ofa new residence card is not mandatory. If you make any the request, you have to pay €50 by tax stamps, unless you are a national ofEU, theEEA , the Swiss Confederation or a member of the family of such a national or beneficiary of a title ‘withdrawal agreement’.
