To vote in elections, you must be registered on the electoral list of a municipality. Parked soldiers, sailors, fairground workers, travelers and homeless persons (homeless persons) must register on the electoral list of the commune with which they have a specific attachment.
What applies to you ?
Military
You can register on the list of electors of one of the following municipalities :
- Municipality where your real home is located
- Municipality where you have been living for at least 6 months
- Municipality where you are obliged to reside as a civil servant
- Municipality where you have been subject to local taxes (company property tax, property tax on built or unbuilt properties) for at least 2 years
- Municipality where a business has been subject to local taxes for at least 2 years and of which you have been the manager (director) or shareholder (majority or sole) for at least 2 years.
Regardless of your parking location, and if none of these municipalities correspond to your situation, you can apply to be registered on the list of electors of one of the following municipalities :
- Municipality of birth
- Municipality of your last home
- Municipality of your last residence, provided that it has been at least 6 months
- Municipality where one of your parents was born, is registered or has been registered on the list of electors ascendants
- Commune where one of your parents (up to 4th degree) is or has been registered on the list of electors.
If none of these communes is located in France, you can request your registration on the electoral list of the commune of your recruitment office.

Your spouse can apply to be included on the same list of electors as yours, provided he or she provides proof of marriage.
