Medical examinations of the child: compulsory examinations - After 6 years

The content of these examinations shall cover the following points:
- Growth Curve
- Physical, mental and behavioral development
- Child's emotional life
- Screening for sensory (sight, hearing) and psychic (examples: anxiety) disorders, speech disorders, and neurodevelopment disorders
- Vaccinations (verification of vaccination status, practice of compulsory and recommended vaccinations and possibly administration of preventive treatments for childhood diseases)
- Health-promoting behaviors and environments (e.g. physical activity, sports, screen exposure)
- Respect of dental follow-up.
In addition, after 6 years additional themes are added, and depending on age, screenings and assessments are made on screen exposure, adaptation to school life, weekly physical and sports activity, dys disorders, pubertal development, signs of unwell-being, harassment...
These tests help ensure that
- Good child health
- And refer parents for further care if needed.

Test results are listed:
- In the child's health record
- And, possibly, in My health space (shared medical record) of the child.
These compulsory examinations are scheduled for 3 periods:
- Between 8 and 9 years inclusive
- Between 11 and 13 years inclusive
- Between 15 and 16 years inclusive.
Tests are done by a primary care or pediatric doctor.
Who shall I contact
The consultations for examinations are reimbursed to 100%, without advance payment for parents, except overpayment of fees.

These consultations are also fully supported for the beneficiaries of State medical assistance (AME).
