Any employee (in CDI: titleContent, in CDD: titleContent or on a temporary basis, working full-time or part-time) is entitled to leave specific to the occurrence of a disability, a chronic pathology requiring therapeutic learning or cancer of his child. We present you the information to know.
Any employee (in CDI: titleContent, in CDD: titleContent or on a temporary basis, working full-time or part-time) is entitled to leave specific to the occurrence of a disability, a chronic pathology requiring therapeutic learning or cancer of his child (without age limitation).
No seniority requirements is not required to be entitled to leave.
Please note
The employer may not deny such leave to the employee. In the event of a dispute with the employer, the employee may Labor Court (CPH).
These are long-term, progressive diseases with a strong impact on daily life:
- Any type of disability
- Disabling stroke
- Type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes
- Severe forms of neurological and muscular disorders (including myopathy), severe epilepsy
- Severe chronic respiratory failure
- Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
- Parkinson's disease
- Cystic fibrosis
- Multiple sclerosis
- Cancer.
A diagnosis must first be made by a health professional (general practitioner, child psychiatrist...) to recognize the disability, chronic pathology or cancer of the child.
The employee must then provide proof to his employer.
The duration of the leave shall be 10 working days.
Of treaty provisions may provide for a longer duration.

The duration of the leave is not deducted the number of days of paid annual leave of the employee.
